RUMPUS
Rumpus at the Minnesota Fringe Festival, 2017
In 2017 brought Max's journey to Where The Wild Things Are to life with dance, poetry, and live brass music. Our interpretation used a wide variety of music (Barber's Adagio, The Grand March from Aida, and Toreador from Carmen, to name a few!) and poetry to tell Max's story in a new way.

Cherry and Spoon calls Rumpus a 'pure delight':
"This show is pure delight... charming and inventive... Fun for all ages and sure to put a smile on your face." The City Pages mentions Rumpus: "Mike’s Brass are a Minneapolis brass quintet that happens to include Theatre Pro Rata’s leader Carin Bratlie Wethern. She directs Rumpus, a kid-friendly show combining music, dance, and poetry, inspired by Maurice Sendak’s Where the Wild Things Are." Matthew Everett notes Rumpus as a Returning Favorite. |
